About
I'm a nature and landscape photographer based in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, with over 20 years of experience. I was raised on a Nebraska farm and have always been intrigued by Nature. Growing up, family vacations and camping trips in the Rocky Mountains sparked my love for this region that is so different from Nebraska. I have a BA in Biology, and I am a Nebraska Master Naturalist. I enjoy traveling and photographing in other states within the US, as time and budget allow.
As a fine art nature and landscape photographer based in Nebraska, my work originates in the serene but sometimes hidden beauty of the Great Plains. This often-overlooked landscape enables me to capture the subtle interaction of light, texture, and color that defines the Nebraska horizon, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. In addition to grand landscapes, “intimate landscapes” and close-up photography bring a sense of wonder and appreciation for the intricate details that often go unnoticed. Hopefully, each image can be a call to action, inviting viewers to engage with their surroundings and recognize the fragile beauty of our natural world.
I also capture the urban landscape and its architecture. These structures provide geometric, abstract, and colorful subjects that are often overlooked. This may cause the viewer to take another, closer look at the things we walk or drive by in everyday life.
Abandoned or neglected buildings, automobiles, and other signs of our human existence are also intriguing subjects. The viewer may look at an image and wonder what the story is behind these subjects. Who lived in this house? Why is this car abandoned in this field? Who were the miners who worked this old mine? Did they strike it rich? Let your imagination take over!
My images of the beauty of landscapes and abstract forms can be transformed into stunning fine art prints. Each image invites you to explore intricate details and vibrant colors, making it the perfect addition to your home or business. Thank you for taking the time to view my work.
